Meet The Goddesses - Fortuna

The Roman Goddess of Luck and Chance, Fortuna, was one of the earliest Goddesses in Ancient Roman Mythology. Believed to bring good fortune, many Romans prayed to Fortuna before gambling in belief that she would bring them good luck. As one of the most worshipped goddesses in Roman times, Fortuna has many alters and shrines built for her. Ancient Romans believed Fortuna favored the brave and the fools, those who were willing to take chances and take advantage of opportunities without fear of bad fortune.
