The Iroquois Goddess Awehai represents community, family, and growth. According to legend, Awehai fell from the heavens to spread seeds and animals across the land. This was believed to be the reason why men had crops, livestock, and game to hunt. The Goddess Awehai was said to look after families and the community, keeping them safe and allowing them to grow prosperous.
