DIY Kate Inspired Regency Necklace with Jem Hawkes

Jem Hawkes is showing us how to create a beautiful Regency-style necklace using the Society Papers Bead Collection from Jesse James Beads. This collection is inspired by the Regency era and takes inspiration from the Bridgerton series on Netflix. Today we will be using the Lady Kate-inspired beads in a blend of bright gold hues with pink and purple colors.

Today we will be creating a wire-wrapped drop pendant. We will be using three of these drop components in our necklace. We will be using a wood bead mandrel to create our wire-wrapped loops. You can get these wood mandrels from Jesse James Beads or you can use a round form you have around the house. We will be using our memory wire finishing pliers to work our 14 gauge wire due to its thickness, you can use your usual pliers as well if you prefer.

We will be focusing on the drops today, you will also use some stringing wire to bead your accenting beads onto the base of your necklace. We will also be using some thick ribbon to finish our necklace. This ribbon comes with it's own end findings which is super helpful for those new to working with thicker materials.
