Ready, Set, Create! Our Create! Kit for Kids contains five kid-friendly projects perfect for entertaining your child during Quarantine. The five projects included in your kid's kit include: Rubber Band Bracelets, Beaded Suncatcher, Paper Butterflies and Beetles, and Popsicle Stick Bookmarks. Here are the step by step instructions for how to make each project:

Rubber Band Bracelets:

Your Kids Kit includes everything you need to create several rubber band bracelets! Add embellishments to give each one a unique personality. Follow the tutorial video below to learn how to make rubber band bracelets step by step with Sara Ellis:

Beaded Suncatcher:

To create the beaded suncatcher, you will need the pack of beads and the pack with the wooden dowel, elastic, and colored rope.

Step 1: String a single bead on a piece of elastic. Measure elastic to the desired length for the first strand of beads and cut. String your bead to the end of the elastic and secure the bead onto the elastic with a triple knot (or any preferred secure not to ensure beaded suncatched doesn't come loose and fall apart) looping the elastic around the bead so it stays secure.

Step 2: String the rest of your beads on your piece of elastic. Secure the string of beads to the dowel using a secure knot.

Step 3: Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have the desired number of beaded strands on the dowel, then secure the colored rope on the top of the dowel. The colored rope should be on the outside of where the elastic is tied to prevent the elastic strands from sliding off the dowel.

Step 4: Your beaded suncatcher is complete and ready to hang.

Popsicle Stick Bookmarks:

Create adorable bookmarks perfect for marking your child's place in any required or leisure reading. For this project you will need your colored popsicle sticks and you choice of embellishments.

Step 1: Lay out your embellishments onto your popsicle stick to choose your desired design. Shank back embellishments can be added to the flat side of the stick after cutting off the shanks with a sharp pair of scissors or you trusty Beadalon cutter tool. Shank Back Embellishments can also be balanced on the very top of the bookmark with a strong dab of glue.

Step 2: Glue your embellishments down with your desired crafting glue and let dry. Bookmark is ready to read with you!

Butterflies and Beetles:

Inside your kid is a paper template for the butterfly and beetle paper crafts. For this project you will need the paper template, construction paper, pipe cleaners, and your choice of embellishments to decorate your butterfly and beetle.

Step 1: Choose your style of wing for the butterfly or beetle. Cut out the reusable paper templates for the wing and the body.

Step 2: Roll the paper roll for the body, secure the end with some glue or tape.

Step 3: Add the wings to your butterfly or beetle. Secure these with some craft glue or some tape.

Step 4: Bend your pipe cleaner in half as shape as desired for the antenna. Secure the fold of the pipe cleaner inside the body tube with a dab of glue or strong take. We recommend glue as that tends to be slightly stronger for securing the antenna.

Step 5: Decorate your wings and body with your desired buttons and embellishments. Add sunglasses, googly eyes, and more!

After decorating, let your butterfly or beetle dry, then they are ready to play with.
