Jem Hawkes is showing us how to make beautiful wire-wrapped earrings using the July 2023 Welcome To The Bayou July 2023 beads. You can also use similar beads in other mixes, we recommend our Color Trends Bead Mixes or any Mega or Design Elements bead mix for the larger focal beads. We recommend using an oval or circular flat bead if you are a beginner wire-wrapper, if you have a little more experience you can experiment using different shapes of beads.
You'll also want to have some chain reaction or small link chain on hand for these earrings as well as some jump rings, ear wires, and 20 Gauge wire. The primary skill we are focusing on today is learning how to wrap and layer the wire overtop our beads to create accenting elements to our beads and components. This technique can be used for beads, connectors, pendants, and more.
