- Wire Cutters
- Round Nose Pliers
- Flat Nose Pliers
- Bead mat or tray to keep pieces organized
These tools help make assembly smoother and allow for more detailed finishing touches.
How to Create Your Mermaid
STEP 1. Create The Body:
Cut 8" of your included wire & fold it in half. Thread the Tail onto the wire so it hangs in the fold. Thread the beads in the following order to build up your mermaid body.
- 2 Rondelle Spacers
- 1 Barrel sm
- 1 drop (narrow end toward the tail)
- 1 Lg Bead Cap
- 1 Skin Tone barrel
- 1 Lg Bead Cap
- 1 Tiny Dyed Pearl
- 1 Lg Trumpet Bead Cap
- 1 Wood Ball Bead
- 1 Color Acrylic Bead Cap
- 1 Tassel
- 1 Small Trumpet Bead Cap
- 1 Rondelle Spacer
Once you have added all these beads, your next step is to make a loop at the top of the "mermaid crown". Make sure to keep this a bit loose so we can add our arms.
STEP 2. Add The Arms:
Cut 4" of wire and fold it in half. Center the fold in the wire on the body between the Sm dyed pearl and lg skin-tone barrel bead. Loop around 2x to tighten this wire onto the Mermaid Body. Now you can tighten the loop on the top of the "Mermaid Crown".
String the following bead on each of the wire arms:
- 1 Cream Drop Bead (Fat side closest to the body)
- 7 Cream Seed Beads
Repeat for both arms. Loop each end of the wire to secure.
*TIP: Use spaces in the Large Trumpet Bead Cap/Neck to adjust the arms.
