Wire-Wrapped Asymmetrical Heart Necklace

Wire-Wrapped Asymmetrical Heart Necklace

Jem Hawkes is showing us how to create a stunning Asymmetrical necklace using natural stone beads. We'll be using these beautiful Rhodonite heart-shaped beads for our necklace. You will also need 18-gauge round wire, your choice of chain, and a finishing clasp to create this necklace.

We will be learning a few different techniques, such as a standard rosary chain technique, an enhanced halo rosary link, and a small pendant style of wire-wrapping. These techniques are very versatile and perfect for growing your wire-wrapping skills.

For tools, you will want to have on hand a 1/2 an inch round form or mandrel, wire cutters, round-nose pliers (or bail-making pliers; we will be using bail-making pliers in the tutorial), and bent-nose pliers. Reminder to warm your wire slightly to make the wire more pliable to work with. You can use your hands to add heat to the wire to make it easier to work with.

What You'll Need:

Thank you so much for joining us for another fabulous jewelry-making video tutorial. Stay tuned for more beading education. We release new tutorials every week!

All Heart,

Your Friends At Jesse James Beads
