Goddess Mazu Beaded Necklace with Brittany Chavers

Today, Brittany will use the Goddess Bead Mix in Chinese Goddess Mazu to create a beautiful beaded necklace. This goddess bead mix features beautiful beachside colors including bright teals, tans, and splashes of off-white. We will pair these beads with an enamel chain and use an accenting gold chain to complete our beaded look.

We will also create a wire-wrapped focal using 22 gauge wire. You can use either Artistic Wire or German Style for this part of the necklace. Brittany will walk us through how to create a double bail for our necklace. Our dangle focal consists of 2 different wire-wrapped bead components, we're using the bubble bead and large faceted glass teardrop from the Mazu mix to create our focal.

You can make smaller focal dangles as well using smaller beads from the mix. Brittany will show us a quick and easy way to create beaded dangles using headpins and a similar technique that we did using the 22 gauge wire. You can use eye pins if you want the bottom of your dangle to have a loop to create double-dangle or longer-dangle focal pieces.
