Create a Degas-Inspired Statement Bracelet with Deb Floros

Deb Floros is showing us how to create a beautiful statement necklace featuring beads found in the December 2024 magical mystery bead box. Our 2024 mystery box was inspired by the works of Degas and features beads and components in colorways inspired by his paintings.

For today's tutorial, we will create a more unusual focal piece for our bracelet using the metal code pieces found in the bead mix in the Degas box. We will. be combining the cones with a bead and headpin to create an unusual focal piece. We will be doing a chunkier wrap on these beads to secure our focal pieces. We will be making 4 of these pieces to combine for the main bracelet focal.

For the main bracelet we will be using some beading wire (you can use 7-strand or 19-strand, whichever you prefer. We will also be using some gold TOHO 11/0 seed beads as spacers between the beads on our bracelet. You can use whatever color you'd like to pair with these beautiful beads. You will also need to have on hand Some jump rings, French Wires, crimp tubes.

For tools, we recommend having on hand Bead Stoppers, Flush or Semi-Flush cutters, and a crimping tool. We also recommend having 2 sets of pliers on hand to help open and close your jump rings.
