Create 5 Winter-Themed Earrings with Brittany Chavers
Ready for an Earring Blitz? Brittany Chavers is showing us how to make 5 beautiful pairs of earrings using one Mega Bead Mix from Jesse James Beads. We will be using the Sparkle Season mega bead mix found in the JJB Winter Boutique Collection. This mix features sparkling gold and silver beads as well as shimmering white, perfect for the winter season.
For our first pair of earrings, we will be making an abstract-style Christmas tree using a headpin to build our tree. This technique is beginner-friendly and utilizes the simple wire-wrapped loop to attach our tree to our earring wire. Our second pair of earrings features a mix of gold and silver metal beads. For this set of earrings, we will be making a simple dangle as the focal for our earrings, and creating a simple wire-wrapped loop to give our earrings some more movement. We will also be using some 22 gauge German-style wire to connect our segments for our pair of Wintery earrings.
For our third pair, we will be going a little more Christmas-y using the reindeer charms as the focal. We will also be adding 24 gauge artistic wire here to wire-wrap our beads together. You will also need one or two jump rings as Brittany Shows us how to hang our little reindeer from our wire beads so that our charms do not fall off. For our fourth pair, we are focusing on snow! This pair uses snowflake charms, faceted large white beads, and some caged crystals. For our fifth pair, we will be using similar techniques to create a sparkle-forward pair of earrings. For our fifth pair we will be adding 26 gauge artistic wire, this is the thinnest wire we will be working with in order to create more delicate wire-wrapped details including a bail for our earrings pair.
