Terry Jeanette Carter

Hello! my name is Terry Jeanette Carter. Online, I am known as Tappingflamingo (or TappingflamingoBling). This unusual name came from my love of dance and my Florida roots. I am so excited to design some beautiful jewelry with Jesse James Beads and share my design process with you!

I am a wife, mother of four, and grandmother of seven, and have been making jewelry for over 40 years! I like to find time to teach people my love of creating jewelry, and enjoy doing so at the local senior center and on my Youtube Channel...Tappingflamingo aka The Bohemian Hippie.

I am a beach Boho, Elegant Hippie sort of gal, and my handmade jewelry, ornaments and accessories reflect this. I prefer the organic look of natural stones, and also colorful glass beads and crystals. I love making one of a kind pieces that are unexpected and beautiful, inspired by nature. Some of the unexpected things I might use in my creations are, recycled guitar strings, seashell fragments, paper, sari ribbon and even old telephone wire.

In addition to enjoying my family and making jewelry, I am a member of a local dance group and also play the mountain dulcimer with a local group.
