Create Mayahuel-Inspired Wire-Wrapped Pendants with Jem Hawkes
Today we will use the Mayahuel Goddess Bead Mix to create beautiful, simple wire-wrapped pendants. These pendants are perfect for necklaces, ornaments, and more. This technique of wire-wrapped is based on Jem's lotas wire-wrapping technique to create a cactus-like focal. This is inspired by Mayahuel's spikey headdress that she is sometimes depicted as wearing.
We will use the Goddess Mix in Mayahuel in this project, but you can use any of your favorite bead mixes or colors to personalize this project. We recommend using larger focal beads for an eye-catching and balanced appearance. We also recommend having some metal spacer beads on hand for the center of your wire-wrapped focal piece.
