Let's get cozy! Deb Floros is showing us step-by-step how to create a beautiful Layered beaded necklace using simple bead stringing techniques. This necklace is great for jewelry-making beginners and experienced makers alike.
For this necklace, we will be using some of our custom-dyed howlite beads from the Cozy Halloween collection, combined with some glass beads from the Harvest Gold bead strand and Going Squirrely bead mix! Deb will walk us through step-by-step instructions on how to create a layered look using 19-strand stringing wire and #2 crimp tubes. Tools needed for this project include a cutting tool and crimping pliers.
We will then learn how to use our TOHO 11/0 seed beads to create a minimalistic finish using seed beads and a lobster clasp. This technique offers a seamless finish on our necklace without bulky toggle clasps. You can also switch out the lobster clasp with a magnetic or toggle clasp if that is easier for you to open and close.
