Bead. Sip. Repeat. Let's Make DIY Wine Charms!

Bead. Sip. Repeat. That's what I'm thinking for Memorial weekend!  Who is with me?! Candie Cooper here with a project that I'm absolutely smitten with:  Drink Catchers.  Ok, they're diy wine charms, but with all the fringe and spirit these things pack, I'm calling them drink catchers because they remind me of the fun boho dream catchers I've been seeing around the Pinterest-sphere. Jesse James Beads now offers DIY wine charm starter kits where you can make your own drink catchers or wine charms!The first thing I did was cut 4" pieces of sari silk and suede lace.Thread them through the wine charm ring and wrap with 20g. wire to secure the ribbon and suede and create a tassel-look.Use the same 20g. Artistic Wire to make wrapped loops with each of the beads.Slide a beaded dangle onto the wine charm. Now. You can stop here or.....Bust out some feathers, charms and chain and go crazy!I used some of the leather cord end findings from the last post to glue feathers into.  For added security I flat crimped the tube section with chain nose pliers.  Do you save tiny pieces of chain like I do?  Now is a great time to use up some of them.  Simply slide them on around the tassels and beads to add more fringe.These DIY wine charms are so fun to make and I know your guests are going to think you are the bees knees of hostesses with these party perfect wine charms!This is one of my faves where I tucked a cute owl charm in with the ribbons.Wishing you a happy and safe Memorial weekend!
