JJB Summer Bead Blast Jewelry Design Challenge 2023

Join us for fifteen weeks of challenges, prizes, and beading fun! All summer long Jesse James Beads is hosting a weekly challenge. We want to encourage you to make and connect with all of the creative makers in our wonderful bead community even more. Below you’ll find out how it works, how to enter for prizes, and how to find inspiration to keep you using your bead stash and creating up a storm! 

Each Monday starting May 29th on Facebook and Instagram we will post a new challenge topic post, explaining what the week’s challenge is and sharing some inspiration as well. We will also share video tutorials and photos of projects throughout the week on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram to inspire you with the prompt of the week. 

Throughout the summer, we’ll randomly draw challenge entries to win prizes hand-picked by our designers and team as favorite summer bead supplies. At the end of the challenge, we’ll also hold a grand prize drawing to “win it before you can buy it” fall boutique collection AND we’ll hold a staff favorite entries contest for a $100 gift card to our shop! 

Below are some frequently asked questions and more on how things will work! 

1. Create a project inspired by the week’s theme that features some Jesse James Beads! 

2. Post to a public social media page (Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook) and tag the Jesse James Beads ( @JesseJamesBeads on all social platforms) account. You should also use #JJBSummerBeadBlast in your caption. This will ensure we see, comment on, and enter your project! 

3. Don’t have a public social or want to share somewhere else? Post to our Secret Stash Facebook group and use #JJBSummerBeadBlast to be entered. 

Monday mornings we will post to our Facebook and Instagram pages with the weekly challenge information. You can also find the information saved in our Secret Stash Facebook Group. 

Yes!! Watch our Monday post on Facebook and Instagram – there will be a graphic showing weeks 1-5 (or 6-10, etc) challenges so you’ll have a peek at what is coming ahead. You can also get advance info in our Secret Stash Facebook Group! 

Yes! You can enter as many times as you like each week. We just ask that it be a new creation (we’re using honor system) inspired by and made for the challenge. 

Random draw prize winners will be notified on their original post, instructing the winner to email hello@jessejamesbeads.com to claim their prize. Please note – we will not DM you, ask you to click any links, or ask for ANY information other than mailing address. We may also post random draw winners as well as entries at random to our Stories (FB/IG) to share with the community! Grand prize winners will be posted to our Facebook and Instagrams the week of September 18.

Of course! We love your creativity – we hope in your caption you’ll explain how we inspired you, or what got you creating the beautiful beaded creation that you made. 

You’re welcome to enter the challenge with any Jesse James Beads you have purchased at our website, or from one of our partners such as a SoftFlex JJB or Walmart JJB strand or mix. Your creation does not need to be 100% Jesse James Beads- we understand and encourage you to also use up your beady stash!
