Jem Hawkes is using the Goddess Pele bead mix inspired by the Hawaiian Goddess of creation and volcanoes. This bead mix is a stunning blend of patina and red hues. Each mix contains a blend of glass, ceramic, and metal beads as well as accents of enamel, mother of pearl, and more.

For these earrings we will be using some of the acrylic flowers found in this bead mix paired with a few metal accents and tassels. We will be using lever back earring wires here from Beadalon, you can use whatever ear wires you are most comfortable wearing. You will also need a few jump rings, 18 gauge wire (about 6-7 inches per earring), wire cutters, round nose pliers, and bent nose or chain nose pliers.

Remember to warm your 18 gauge wire in your hands before working for an easier time bending and manipulating your wire. We will be using this wire to create our very center component for our flower earrings. Bent nose pliers work best when creating the wire-wrapped petals of our flower.
