Jem Hawkes is diving into the Year of the Snake collection and showing us how to make a stunning wire-wrapped entwined Snake Necklace featuring the Necklace Focal in Year Of The Snake. We will also be using some 11/0 seed beads in clear (you can use whatever accenting color you like). You will also need some 26 gauge wire round wire, some 6/0 metal spacers, and some basic beading tools including cutters, round nose pliers, and bent nose pliers.
Jem will walk us through how to use our 26-gauge wire to create a beautiful woven design. We will be threading our seed beads onto the 26 gauge wire and wrapping the wire around our focal pendant. Once we have our seed beads woven into our focal pendant we are going to attach our chain of choice as well as add some finishing touches to our pendant. Follow along with Jem's step-by-step instructions in the video above to see how to bring this project to life.
To create an additional element on our focal we will be attaching one of our Brass Pendant in Lethal Allure. We will attach this piece with some 18 gauge round wire. We will also use a round form or wooden mandrel to create a circular form. We will also be using a small bail making plier or memory wire finishing plier to create some spiral accents on our pendant.
