Beads of Courage Day
Jesse James Beads is proud to announce that we are joining Beads of Courage in celebrating World Beads of Courage Day! Every year, Beads of Courage celebrates the courageous journeys of children and teens battling terminal illnesses. This year Jesse James Beads is joining them by raising money for Beads of Courage through the month of September.
Beads of Courage has worked with us for several events helping us educate our community about the amazing work Beads of Courage has done. Jesse James Beads has included Carry-A-Bead Kits and projects to over 200 attendees of this year's Summer Camp and are excited to have those beads and their stories donated back to Beads of Courage.
September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
We wanted to work with Beads of Courage to not only help raise money for children with cancer and other terminal illnesses in their program but also raise awareness for this very serious cause.
Over 290 children and teens are diagnosed with cancer every week. While over 400,000 children and teens are diagnosed with cancer worldwide each year. Children who are diagnosed undergo various procedures to help fight their cancer including radiology, chemotherapy, surgery, and more.
Beads of Courage does amazing work helping these children tell their story through jewelry making, each bead in the beads of courage program represents a procedure or task the child has overcome in their health journey.
The All Heart Collection
From now until September 30th, 20% of all proceeds from the All Heart collection will be donated to Beads of Courage to help them continue to provide art therapy for those who need it most.
